L’idée que j’écrive un opéra et qu’il soit une suite de La Flûte enchantée semble ridicule. C’était, et c’est toujours le cas. Non seulement je devais me mesurer au génie de Mozart, mais je devais aussi affronter Goethe !!J’ai sans doute adopté une approche relativement réductionniste à la question : comment diable vais-je faire ça ?
