Macbeth is a nightmare.
Going from the actual play to the opera, Time is transformed, and condensed, as if it were a dream.
Macbeth is a time of metaphor, confusion, symbolism, and indistinction. What follows is inspired by a fragment of the dream, an unconscious creation of images, and tries to create another logic, as in paradoxical sleep.
Macbeth is a complex play that is not easy to reduce. It is a mystery that requires deep scrutiny.
